… but only when it rains
dirty city snow, salt puddles, neige jaune
I love the cold, crisp air of winter
champagne powder
and the solitude of a northern stillness
winter also has a darkness
shortest days of the year
but there’s another darkness that hangs over us
the dark shadow of greed, war, discrimination and hatred
may doom our planet to an eternal winter
but for now I’ll embrace a winter of clean white snow and solitude
and wait for the days to get longer again

Geez Len, are you becoming a poet now?
January 30, 2020 at 4:31 pm
I’m not a poet
and I know it
but I can move a few words around
and not completely blow it

Peter, it took me a minute to get what you mean, but I had to go back and look at the photos. Ah yes! Black Creek Village. Hope you enjoyed skiing in Italy.
