I have walked through the fog
The mystery of city
âThe Fogâ and âThe Mistâ
Be there monsters there?
Thereâs a fog south of here
The chaos of fear and uncertainty
The gas of tears
Mystery but also comfort
Like a warm blanket around me
The distance is closer
I can look inward
And be in the present

Len, some of these are stunning, ethereal, mystical. My favourites:
1) Only two of us, isolated. Were you wearing your COVID-19 masks?
2) The Fog, item #2. Calm, Peaceful.
3) The Philosopher’s Walk. Where is this labyrinth in the city?
4) The Tower. Was someone watching you? đ
5) The Fog, item #11. Did the person eventually ‘disappear’?
6) Lady and her dog. Did she get a copy of her photo? Great shot – love her colour coordination – hat, mask, dog leash. What was the dog’s name?
7) My serious (madness) side. That is one of your best creations…very cool.

Hi Kate, I hope all is well with you and that guy. Here are the answers:
1. That was not me. Strangers with no masks, but they look like a lovely bubble.
3. That was me – High Park Philosophers Walk. There’s also one at Trinity Sq at the Eatons Centre
4. No. Not a watchtower, an old abandoned water tower.
5. Yes, but not captured my the “Mist” creatures.
6. I gave her my email and told her to email me if she wants a copy. (I never ask for someone’s email or phone#. I used to do that in bars, but not anymore). She hasn’t contacted me yet. The dog’s name is probably Bella, as that’s the #1 popular dog’s name for a female.
7. haha!

Stunningly beautiful Len but definitely one of your more sombre posts – perhaps affected by the current global emotional climate?

Definitely yes, Pam. The current emotional climate, that is.

I went to check my poetry and got it wrong! I thought I was looking for a poem by Robert Frost on ‘The Fog’ – turns out I was thinking of ‘The Road not taken’ which is equally appropriate.
Loved 6,11 & 13.
But the real question is on 22 is the word above your shoulder Madness? This we can define as ‘a spectrum of individual and group behaviours that are characterized by abnormal mental or behavioral patterns’. Not much evidence of that now I don’t think!

Hey Peter, regarding #22, I think you nailed me (er, it)!
Actually, Madness is a photo I made in 2005 of the Berlin Wall. When I was there, I spent considerable time pondering this Cold War era graffiti. Who made this graffiti and what were they thinking about. So much happened at this particular spot throughout the 20th century.
I’ve used this image quite a few times, for example in the header area of this website. There’s something about this graffiti that I keep identifying with.
Regarding the poem, no Robert Frost copying there. But then, I’m not a poet, just a “word wrangler”.

Hi Len,
I loved them all but especially #22, My serious side. It looks like all of us these days, looking into an unknown future.
God bless,
Don

Hi Don,
I never thought of that, but yes an unknown future. But at least we’re up here and not down there, eh?
