They live amongst us. We know about these aliens from a distant star but we don’t know that they look like carnivorous lizards. They somehow cloak themselves to look like us. They send us to fancy resorts to fatten us up before harvesting.
We were recently in a Club Med ski resort in the French Alps and this is what I thought of as I watched people lined up at the feeding troughs in the dining room. Yes, I’m one of them, but I know.
On the mountain, there were gondolas and chair lifts filled with people moving them upward to a destination that’s perhaps unexpected.
There was a TV show back in the ’80’s (I think) that was something like this. Well, I hope you enjoy the photographs, but beware!

Ok, Len,
Judging by these pictures you definitely do not need your eyes checked…just say’n….
Favourites include:
– Snow drift with mountains on the horizon – cool pic. You must have been lying on the snow trying to feed the rabbits/squirrels/birds/looking for your beer?
– The ‘special lady’ skiing in the distance….she looks like she is on a mission…to get around the corner!!
– Lady looking upward to the sky…is she asking/praying for more snow?
– Helicopter nearing the mountain peak…was this your drop-off point? Yikes!
– Lunch counter/deli…how many calories is THAT?? Hope you savoured every bite…with a good beer. 🙂

Hi Kate,
You are so good to me with your comments. I’m so glad you enjoy. The woman looking up was just flinging her hair for my shot. She has very nice hair. We had lots of snow so no prayers were needed.
We skied quite a few kilometers away from the hotel, and took the helicopter ride back. A pretty expensive cab ride!
And those sandwiches were just in a deli window. We had MUCH more food at Club Med, provided by the lizards!

Great pictures Len. Forty people went but only three got their photo taken – what happened to the other 37 (were they eaten)? I can see what you mean on the shot of them all in a line going down for processing!
Its interesting that the shots with no people, and the ones with the people as objects in the distance, allow your mind to wander about ‘what goes on here’?
But on the whole I would like to remember this as a great ski holiday, rather than the Dark Dobrucki Dining Mystery!

Yes, rather dark thoughts, but the skiing was great!

Hi Len saw them the first time they were out. Had to watch again … enjoyed them as much as the first time.
